“In each letter I send to a Japanese friend, I have got into the habit of recommending one or another work by Brahms, She has just written that she is leaving a Tokyo clinic where she was taken by ambulance for having excessively sacrificed to my idol, I wonder which trio, which sonata was responsible. It doesn’t matter. Whatever induces collapse is thereby deserving of being listened to.” ― Emil M. Cioran

WOW, I love this technique. so creative and innovative! going to try this now
This gal is totally fascinating 👍😊
Can you do a more in depth video of this with what you're playing with your RH versus your LH?
I really liked your descriptions of the music as you were playing!
how to play it faster: play it slowly, but just faster
I don’t know SQUAT about sound engineering. I literally just fiddle around with the controls on Logic until I get the sound I want .. and even then I’m never 100% satisfied. But at this point, I have it to where I don’t want to mess with it anymore. Sounds pretty good to me. I would love to have someone’s feedback. I literally just Mickey Moused this thing lol PS. I only use VST piano. I don’t have an acoustic 😔
Hot take You are correct, Gershwin is wrong 😬
I can't play any instruments nor do I know music theory but during the pandemy I have learned to create music on a gaming pc (I mention "gaming" because music software requires powerful machines and tons of disk space). I do it in FL studio which was like 200 bucks and some Orchestral virtual instruments ranging from 0 to several 100 bucks. I can really recommend it for people who love music but don't know where to start, writing it on paper must be hell I imagine). On the PC you only need your ears. You immediately notice when something sounds strange like a brass playing too low sounding like a fart or 1 trumpet obliterating the whole 18 string section.
This was very cool. Thanks.
Hi! So, I watched this a couple of years ago, and meant to start practicing my trills. Life intervened, though, and it took me a while to get around to it. However, I would often recall your demos in the video, and have been practicing most days (slowly at first to avoid injury, of course) for a couple of months. Since I don't have a piano right now, I've had to make do with table tops, etc., but they work pretty well. Also, when watching Barry Harris' videos (and your bebop video with him) I became interested in his "dim 6" scale, worked out the fingerings, AND his block-chord style of playing (like George Shearing), so have included multiple-note trills in my practice. Thanks for being here to remind and encourage us in our practice!
Kinda related... I really like The Fez game's adaptation of Chopin's Prelude in E Minor into an 8-bitish into synthy soundtrack
So where are these organs coming from? What maffia groups are harvesting them?
2:58 Liszt 5:42 Philip Glass
Not only did she play with 2 hand with barely room, she also transposed almost every piece 💯
This is my favorite toy piano video. I wished you play the Carmen, the Bach fugue to its full lenght.
seems like it was the first time u heard yourself playing while playing ? probably when u play the piano u feel the music more than u hear it ? am i close ?

Super super super lovely tips Augustine violinist from Malaysia
Hi Nahre.... You know I lived in Korea for 10 years. And I taught a musical style of ESL which I created. I also had a wonderful favorite student named Nahre. Anyways I'm teaching elementary school and music in Canada. I've been teaching them Suzuki method, they are talented kids but a little bit slow to learn. The feel intimidated by two hands, they're just starting to get the cuckoo song. Do you have some recommendations to help them? They are adorable kids.... Thanks for your lovely videos James
Chopin/Liszt sometimes maybe more into jazz. Chromatic scales, loops, like Hungarian Rhapsody No 2 some parts, Liebestraum, etc. etc.
Dazzling! ☮️🎹 How do you get so many different angles with one seamless audio?
0:46 I think this was Domenico Scarlatti’s father Alessandro Scarlatti who has the same birthday as me😅
i would love to hear played from that organ: Slow me down by Emma Rossum, Magic by Olivia Newton John, Stripped by Depeche Mode.
BRAVO!!
Thrilled to see you on the guitar
You’re amazing
i feel so sad i don`t have a piano now(( Omg
Hey, the missing link beetween understanding guitar and piano is the B string(H in some countries) it is tuned half tone higher than the rest, which makes the chords inversions on various string a pain for every guitarist. For the pianist it seems like obvious thing to move one note right or left the octave for guitarists it's like master level ... Yes it's funny. Tom Quale tunes his guitar in perfect fourths and that makes sense for solo playing and make every arpeggio looks similar.
Does she sleep only 6 hours a day?
Nice analogy video but seems to be mostly about chord theory and very little on how to harmonise
Great job both y'all!
It's 2024 and a live musician just gave me a decent tip for mixing. What a time to be alive.
Babies have no anxiety or confidence issues because they like themselves very much and they think they are perfect the way they are even though they have no piano skill. Piano is not important at all. Unconditional self-love is.
Is there anywhere specific to learn of this music theory
Why is this so difficult
I remember singing in the quoir loft and the organists hit a bass section, you cpuld feel your body vibrate
um actually-
Attabuddy 🤙🏼🙏🏼🖖🏼
Hey, sweet vids! For me this concept has been very important. Starting out as electronic music producer, I went to DJing, and then to learning guitar, and then to making instrumental music, and then to piano. Everything is so interconnected in music and there’s so much to learn and overtake the teachings from other concepts / instruments! I love how you apply feeling signatures to every tiny passage, I could only do the same when we talk about music sonically, for example character of a sample, I learn a lot from you!
SUPERB!!!
My dear, I have been playing guitar for half my life. That 5:29 example is most helpful, thank you.
Wonderful.....keep me posted on your music material.... very consonant !
Waiting for your webinar today : Practice Like a Pro with Randall Faber and Nahre Sol. Sooooo excited!!!
